The NATHEALTH Summit 2023 took place on the 22nd and 23rd of March, 2023. Our very own Neuroscience Research Lead, Radha Kumari, and Research, Education & Training Manager, Sahana Hegde, attended the summit intending to interact with healthcare stakeholders, gain insights on pressing issues in healthcare in India, and represent BrainSightAI. The event was an excellent opportunity for them to meet with leading innovators in hospitals, diagnostics, medical equipment manufacturing, MedTech, and the like.
Here are our top 3 reasons you should attend the summit:
1. YOU GET TO EXPLORE NEW SOLUTIONS
The theme of this year’s NATHEALTH Summit was ‘Redefining the Role of the Private Sector in Achieving Universal Health Coverage.’ With the healthcare system still recovering from the aftermath of the pandemic, this was a space for those in the healthcare system to discuss their learnings and explore new ways of working using technology. With so much knowledge and experience sharing, it was an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for divergent solutions.
2. YOU GET TO LEARN FROM PEOPLE’S EXPERIENCES
Dr. Harsh Mahajan, Immediate Past President of NATHEALTH & Founder & Chief Radiologist of Mahajan Imaging, led the plenary session- Future of Health and Areas of Imminent Breakthrough Opportunities. During the session, he talked about the role of AI in radiology and said: "a radiologist with AI is better than a radiologist without AI." To Dr. Mahajan, India’s use of AI in radiology will be better-informed thanks to the learnings we have available from the West. He also spoke about the importance of prioritizing patient convenience and integration of health tech into existing systems. Overall, his vast experience in radiology was helpful for us to learn from.
3. YOU GET TO NETWORK
We met companies and individuals who knew of our work at the conference. We also met with several companies doing incredible work at the intersection of technology and healthcare.
NATHEALTH 2023 was an illuminating experience, and we are looking forward to attending again next year.
